About specialist training
ADTI and the KAPAP Academy form our specialist school, dedicated to training readiness and effective response to high-risk or violent situations. It suits crowd-control and security personnel, and people entering law-enforcement, custodial or defence careers. The course takes a practical, highly effective approach to a range of real-world scenarios.
Chief instructor Paul Marston, the only recognised representative of the International KAPAP Federation in Western Australia, focuses his teaching on:
- Combat conditioning
- Practical hand-to-hand combat
- Weapons disarming
- Adaptive groundfighting techniques
- Restraint and arrest techniques
- Techniques for real-world scenarios
- Bodyguarding
- The study of fighting systems and their effectiveness (Hoplology)
